MGSB, YRS celebrate birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh with fanfare

Jammu, Oct 21: The Maharaja Gulab Singh Brigade (MGSB) alongwith Yuva Rajput Sabha today celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh at SMGS Hospital, Shalamar Road, Jammu.

On this occasion, Chairman MGSB Shivang Satya Gupta, President Rajay Jamwal, Working president Anil Singh Rakwal, Vice President Tarsem Singh, Secretary Aman Gupta and activists of the brigade participated in the event with much fanfare. The were joined by YRS President Rajan Singh Happy along with members of Yuva Rajput Sabha.

The celebration started with the pooja and tilak  ceremony of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji by MGSB chairman Shivang Satya Gupta. He was joined by MGSB President Rajay Jamwal, Working President Anil Singh Rakwal and other office bearers of the brigade.

YRS President Rajan Singh Happy, Dr Dara Singh, Superintendent SMGS Hospital, team of doctors from the hospital, Former President Lakhanpur Municipal committee Sh Ravinder sharma Rajeshwar Singh Tikka were among the distinguished guests who paid floral tributes to the Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji on his birth anniversary.

Shivang Satya Gupta – Chairman, MGSB described Maharaja Gulab Singh as the architect of Jammu , Kashmir and Ladakh. “Maharaja Ji not only extended the geographical boundaries but also brought about a sea change in all the spheres of life and ensured equitable development of all the regions without any bias, ” he said.

He urged the young generation to remember the greatness of our ancestors and take pride in our legacy and traditions to make our future bright. “It should be our constant endeavor to take inspiration from great Dogra warrior who shaped the future of India,” Gupta added.

YRS president Rajan Singh while speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of MGSB for organising various events to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji.

Later on members of the MGSB alongwith YRS activists distributed Halwa prasad and fruits among the general public. All people jointly appealed government to name Jammu airport and highest rail bridge in Distt Reasi as Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Airport and Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Rail Bridge.
